Meaning of Animal Totems: The Lion Astrology LEO

Generally speaking lions represent personal power, strength, and confidence. In astrology, the lion is LEO.  This is a quiet confidence that you can see just by looking at them, but they won’t throw it over your head unless they are provoked. Or hungry, hungry for a fight in our world. Anger and aggression will also be markers with this animal, and if the lion is your spirit animal, there will be a constant personal struggle to control those feelings. At the same time, their power is impressive, and if the lion means something to you, then you too have an inner personal power that is difficult to match with any of the other spirit animals.

Lions also are near the top of the food chain, this makes them dominant forces to contend with. If the King of the Jungle is your animal totem, then you probably are an excellent leader as well, one that rises to the top in most realms of your life.

You also may hear from a lion spirit animal if you are about to experience a challenge or struggle, they might show up in your dreams, meditation, or constantly appear as symbols in your day to day life. They are warning you that danger is imminent, or on its way. They can also show you how to deal with these challenges, so if you see a lion appear to you in some way, note what is happening at the time, or around the symbolism, because they are definitely bringing you a message.

Dreams about being chased by a lion may also represent struggles are on their way. If you dream that you are threatened by a lion, the lion is sending you the message that the danger is significant, and something you need to pay attention to. You can also ask the lions that come to you to explain more to you, or show you more so that you know how to appropriately deal with the situation at hand.

The lion sounds fierce as an animal totem, but the truth is, if you are going to have an animal totem, the one that is the King of the Jungle is not a bad friend to have. Every animal has its light and shadow sides, but knowing and accepting that ahead of time will help you learn the most from your animal totem
